Hey, I'm Jeremy Salamon, a 17 year old high school student with an extraordinary passion for food and cooking. Here on JeremyCooks I invite you, your family and friends to learn, cook, eat and talk. I launched this site in 2009 as a way for you to join me on my journey to becoming a chef.

In that time I’ve had the opportunity meet and work with some pretty remarkable Chefs. All of them have given me great advice that continues to inspire me each and every day. Most importantly I've learned that the great meals we create in the KITCHEN are the foundation to great times at the TABLE.
So come and follow me on my adventures as we

JeremyCooks has been such an important part of my life that moving on was never going to be easy. I would like to take this window of opportunity to thank each and every one of you for being a part of my journey thus far. You see, although JeremyCooks may be about food and cooking it's really always been about people. Family and Friends are the most important ingredient in life's recipe, without them we are lost. I would not have gotten this far at this early of an age without any of you. There's no cookbook to life, no one can give us step by step instructions. However, the closest thing we have to it are the one's we love and surround ourselves with. They are available with helping hands, a shoulder to lean on, and lessons to learn from. Without my friends I wouldn't of had anyone to cook with or for at my dinner parties. Without the help of my family there probably would not have been a JeremyCooks. Their support, advice, time and effort has made me realize how truly blessed I am to have them in my life. Without any of the culinary figures that have taught and inspired me I would not be as knowledgeable and as passionate as I am today. There's so many to thank that I would have to create a separate list just to honor them.

The main reason I started JeremyCooks was to find people who had the same love for cooking and food as I did. To my surprise I started receiving letters from kids, teens and professional Chefs expressing how inspired they were by my journey. I suddenly had attained a new goal, to teach and encourage others to embark on their own culinary journey. Hopefully I have done just that by paving the way for future young epicures. JeremyCooks may just be a small ripple but in the bigger picture it's part of a large wave.

Now to the future. Where am I going and why so soon? My journey is continuing with the next part off my life which I labeled "Jeremy's Heirloom". A new blog that will continue to follow me and chronicle this adventure that includes more stories, food and people.

I said when I was nine that one day I would be a chef. I'm simply just pursuing what that younger me had declared. I'm following my Yellow Brick Road and I encourage you to join me on it, wherever it may take us.

Although I will no longer be posting anything new on JeremyCooks, it will remain here for you and hopefully new followers to explore and get inspired. I then invite all of you to continue following me at Jeremy’s Heirloom.

With that I say farewell to the past but warmly welcome you to my next chapter. Oh, and I ask but one favor of you... to Keep on Cooking!!! .........................and never stop.

Jeremy
